A business has its very own life cycle, beginning from the earliest stages of a growth, a new plan to the day when it should close its entryways. Some organizations have longer life cycles than others, while some may discover new ways to succeed after dissolving. No matter what the circumstances, reopening a business may require recreating the existing information or improving a new entity under the old name.
The purpose of this thesis is to provide the necessary information for a company who want to re-enter the market. This thesis gives a thorough view of the process that the company was and the new steps that it is going to take in the future. Through this thesis, the company gets to know its weaknesses and threats from the past and new opportunities for the future. It also provides the big picture of new insights and ideas about the products the company offers. This research is implemented by Konelintu Oy and the owner of this company is currently studying at Häme University of Applied Sciences.
The study consists of several objectives. Firstly, the author gives information about the background and history of the company. This is followed by risk analysis theory, market entry theory and Incoterms. Finally, the data has been presented, from which a thorough analysis has been done, including SWOT. The data collected and analysis completed provided the necessary information for the author to provide recommendations for a profitable re-start to the commissioning company.
