The travel industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. At the holiday destinations, it is often tour representatives who take care of the guests and are responsible for ensuring that the guests' expectations for the holiday and the purchased product are met to the best possible extent. Work as a tour leader often leads to long workdays in different shifts, while at the same time the work often has many benefits like free accommodation and in some cases free meals at the hotels. However, the destinations are frequently exchanged at regular intervals, which means that the tour representatives create new contacts with new colleagues and supervisors while changing the workplace. It is said that working as a tour representative is more like a lifestyle than a job. Motivated employees are among the most important success factors for a company. All employees should feel motivated and ready to work to achieve the company's goals and thus create good results no matter what company it is about. The purpose of this work is to find out what the main motivational factors are for tour representatives, what the tour representatives consider about the work environment and what reward system is considered to be the most important for tour representatives. The theory of this work consists of various motivational theories of, among others, Abraham Maslow, Frederick Hertzberg and Douglas McGregor. In addition, theory of work environment and different reward systems are presented, both non-monetary and monetary rewards. In order to answer the research questions, a quantitative survey has been conducted in the form of a web survey. The survey consisted of 31 questions, three of which were demographic. The survey has been distributed through various online channels and a total of 55 tour representatives from different companies participated in the survey. The results of the survey show that the tour leaders appreciate the different relations between colleagues and supervisors, while the warm climate is considered a strong motivation factor. The majority of respondents feel motivated to work and also want to continue in the profession and move on in their career. Feedback and non-monetary rewards were considered more important than monetary rewards, although they did not exclude each other. On the basis of the survey, the tour representatives are considered to be satisfied and motivated to work.
