Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on kehittää työkaluja Turun Osuuskaupan Market-toimialalle henkilöstön työnmäärän mallintamiseen.
The purpose of this thesis is to develop tools for the budgeting of the workforce in Turku Cooperative’s supermarket branch. The objective of the surveying of the work amount is to dimension the shifts better to correspond to the need and to achieve the settled objectives of the hour use of the posts better. Crossings the hour budget make the predictability of the operation more difficult and weaken the profitability of the posts. The sizing of the workforce, when necessary in a post, creates a challenge for keeping within the personnel budget. The overruns of the personnel budget make the predictability of the operation more difficult and worse the result of posts. The objective of the thesis is to develop the accuracy of amounts of work and hour planning to correspond to the need for the posts better.
The theory part of the thesis is dealing with the factors which are directional to the shift planning of the supermarket branch, in other words hard and soft rules of the shift planning. The management of working hours of the organization is approached from both the employer’s and the worker’s point of view. Workforce management systems which are based on the rules based operational logic are also studied.
The thesis process was begun with work task analysis and based on that analysis tables developed both for the measuring of the work tasks and the manpower needs. The work measuring was carried out in chosen pilot units. The tool that was developed for the manpower needs was taken to the cloud-based work premises, owned by Cooperative, for piloting. Tool was piloted in one unit of the supermarket branch. Persons who had participated in piloting were interviewed about the functionality of the tool that had been developed.
The tools that have been developed in this thesis process will come into common use of the supermarket branch of TOK. They are saved in to the Microsoft Office SharePoint workspaces. The developing process continues. The objective of the future is to develop an operational planning tool which is usable in every post and it is used in surveying of the amount of
