Kostnadsanalys för en möjlig lageretablering i centrala Europa

Abstract

Detta examensarbete gjordes på uppdrag av produktionsdirektören och logistikchefen vid Herrmans Oy. Företaget är verksamt inom cykelindustrin. Till produktsortimentet hör kedjeskydd, handtag, lampor, fälgband och reflexer för den nationella samt internationella marknaden. Herrmans eftersträvar alltid att försöka minska sina kostnader, vilket betyder att de kontinuerligt söker efter nya lösningar för att uppnå detta. Denna gång har de valt att undersöka ifall det skulle vara mera lönsamt att anlita en tredje part inom logistiken. Avsikten med detta examensarbete var att ta fram en totalkostnadsanalys över hur stora kostnaderna är i dagens läge och var de uppstår, även att ta fram en optimal placering för tredje parten samt en analys över hur stor skillnaden kunde bli med en ny lösning jämfört med dagens lösning kostnadsmässigt samt leveranstidsmässigt. Resultaten av dagens situation och det nya alternativet har presenterats med grafer, både för kostnader och leveranstider. Resultatet visar att ett lager i Polen inte är särskilt kostnadseffektivt men leverantidsmässigt skulle det se bra ut och om man kunde använda Herrmans redan ikraftvarande transportkostnader.

This thesis is done on behalf of the production director and the logistics manager at Herrmans Oy. The company is active in the bicycle industry. The product range includes chain protectors, handles, lamps, rim strips and reflectors for the national and international market. Herrmans Oy always strives to try to reduce costs, which means that they are constantly looking for new solutions to achieve this. This time, they have chosen to investigate whether it would be more profitable to hire a third party in the logistics. The purpose of this thesis was to produce a total cost analysis of how large the costs are in the current situation and where they arise, also to produce an optimal placement for the third party and an analysis of how the difference the big difference could make with the new alternative compared to the current delivery times. The results of the current situation and the new option have been presented with graphs, both for costs and delivery times. The result shows that a warehouse in Poland is not very cost-effective but in terms of delivery it would look good, and if you could use Herrmans already existing transport costs.
