Tiivistelmä
Tämä prosessikuvaus on kirjoitettu osana tanssinopettajan tutkinnon (AMK) taiteellista opinnäytetyötä. Taiteellisen opinnäytetyön taideteko on koreografia nimeltään ’’World Wide Swipe’’. Teos esitettiin osana Köydet Irti -festivaalia toukokuussa 2019 Turun Taideakatemian Köysiteatterissa.
Tässä taiteellisen opinnäytetyön kirjallisessa osiossa kirjoittaja kertoo lyhyesti sosiaalisen median käytön mahdollisuuksista ja sen historiasta. Prosessikuvauksessa kirjoittaja kertoo prosessiin vaikuttaneista asioita ja kuinka sosiaalista mediaa käytettiin osana tätä prosessia. Kirjoittaja kertoo taiteellisen työnsä aikana ilmenneistä haasteista sekä avaa taiteellisen osion rakenteen lukijalle. Kirjallisen työn lopuksi kirjoittaja pohtii erikseen koreografisen matkan tarkoitusta itselleen sekä kertoo vielä omista ajatuksistaan koko prosessista.
Sosiaalisen median käytön avulla kirjoittaja on löytänyt tämän prosessin kautta uusia lähestymistapoja koreografiseen työskentelyynsä. Näitä lähestymistapoja kirjoittaja aikoo hyödyntää tulevaisuuden projekteissa. This study is written as partial fulfillment of the Dance Teacher Degree / Bachelor of Dance at the Turku University of Applied Sciences, Ltd. The artistic choreographic part of the degree is a performance work “World Wide Swipe” for five dancers. It was performed and featured as part of the “Köydet Irti”-festival in May 2019 at the Turku University of Applied Sciences Arts Academy.
In the written part of this thesis, the writer explores the history and describes the possibilities of using social media. The study discusses the possibilities of using social media as part of this choreographic process. The writer describes the different stages of the artistic process, the factors that influenced them, and how social media was used as part of this process. To conclude the written part of the thesis, the writer examines the thoughts that have arisen during the choreographic process and ponders things which could possibly be done in a different way.
Through the use of social media, the author has found new approaches to a choreographic work. The author intends to use these approaches in the future.

In the written part of this thesis, the writer explores the history and describes the possibilities of using social media.
