Tiivistelmä
The thesis was conducted to provide a general picture for supply chain activities regarding to agricultural products from Vietnam to Finland - a third country to a European country.
Suppliers selections, logistic processes and import procedures were the key theory
that covered in the thesis. Starting with how to choose qualified suppliers, the process was continued by describing transportation mode, delivery terms, payment
methods and customs formalities.
The empirical research of the thesis consisted of research findings for necessary fundamental stages when importing agricultural products from Vietnam to Finland.
This analysis helped to gain a deep understanding in handling with the requirements
of an import process, as well as provided variety options for choosing a suitable delivery routes that could match the preliminary of importing laws and regulations.
By using both of qualitative and quantitative methodologies for the research, a feasible alternative supply chain was designed as a recommendation, which could be considered as a consulting model for further development of the project in the future.
