Payroll: How does it work?

Abstract

In this thesis the author will present the basics of payroll and how it works in practice. There will be information about taxcards, vacations and how the payroll process works. How you get your money to your accounts on payday. There will also be information presented about our vacation law as well as about collective agreements.

It is a practical based thesis, so the author has done an assignment for a company called Norlic, which also was the commissioner. The practical assignment was a manual about the payroll programs used within the company. A step by step guide for new employees so they learn it correctly from the beginning and in this way eliminate the risk of faults in the salaries.
