Lomamaalla Pinnun mökit : Ohjelmapalveluja mökkimatkailijan käyttöön

Abstract

Maaseutumatkailijamäärät kasvavat tulevaisuudessa ihmisten etsiessä vastapainoa työelämän kiireellisyydelle ja aikatauluille. Lisäksi kaupunkilaiset, joilla ei ole ollut mitään yhteyksiä maaseudulle, haluavat päästä tutustumaan maaseutuun. Maaseutumatkailun tulevaisuudennäkymissä kansainvälisyys ja yksilölliset matkailijat tulevat lisääntymään. Nämä seikat luovat maaseutumatkailuyrityksille ja niiden palvelutarjonnalle kehittämishaasteita.

Opinnäytetyömme on toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö, joka pyrkii vastaamaan osaltaan edellä mainittuihin kehittämishaasteisiin yhdessä maaseutumatkailuyrityksessä Etelä-Savossa. Työmme toimeksiantaja on Lomamaalla Pinnun mökit -yrittäjä Pertunmaalta. Työmme tarkoituksena on kehittää yrityksen asiakkai-den käyttöön ohjelmapalveluja. Tavoitteena on kehittää lisäksi yrittäjän yhteistyöverkostoa, lisätä mökkien käyttöastetta kesäsesongin ulkopuolella (tammi-toukokuu, syys-joulukuu) ja sen myötä kasvattaa yrityksen liikevaihtoa. Pitkäntähtäimen tavoitteena on alueen vetovoimaisuuden kasvattaminen. Ohjelmapalvelut on suunnattu maaseutumatkailun mökkiasiakkaille, erityisesti kokousasiakkaille, naisryhmille sekä terveys- ja hyvinvointimatkailijoille.

Opinnäytetyön teoreettisen viitekehyksen muodostavat maaseutumatkailu, ohjelmapalvelut, tuotteistaminen sekä verkostoituminen. Teoriatietoa apuna käyttäen työn lopputuloksena syntyi kuusi erilaista ohjelmapalveluvaihtoehtoa. Ohjelmapalvelut otetaan käyttöön syksyllä 2011. Näiden ohjelmapalveluiden tuottajat voivat tarjota samoja palveluja myös muille alueen mökkimatkailuyrittäjille samalla konseptilla kuin työmme toimeksiantajan yritykselle. Näin työmme voi tukea myös alueellista kehittymistä.

The number of holidaymakers to rural areas will grow in the future as people are trying to balance out the hasty schedules of work life. Furthermore, city dwellers who have no connections to rural areas, want to get to know the countryside. The holidaymakers in rural areas will be more and more international and individual in the future. These factors create development challenges to firms engaged in rural tourism as well as to the services they provide.

Our thesis is functional and, for its part, aims at giving answers to the development challenges mentioned above, regarding one firm that is located in Southern Savo and operates in rural tourism. This thesis was commissioned by the firm Lomamaalla Pinnun mökit located in the municipality of Pertunmaa. The aim of our thesis is to develop program services for the customers of the firm. In addition, the aim is to develop the cooperation network of the entrepreneur, to increase the utilisation rate of cottages outside of the summer season (from Jan to May, Sep to Dec), and thus to increase the revenue of the firm. The long-term aim is to improve the attractiveness of the region. The program services are targeted at customers renting cottages in rural areas, especially for meetings, as well as at female groups and holidaymakers interested in health and wellbeing.

The theoretical framework of this thesis consists of rural tourism, program services, productisation and networking. The output of this thesis is six different options for program services that were created with the help of theoretical knowledge. The program services will be taken into use in autumn 2011. The producers of these program services can also provide other firms that rent cottages with the same services and the same concept as the firm that commissioned our thesis. In this sense, our thesis can support even regional development.
