Tiivistelmä
My project is to build an online shopping website. Recently, it has become a popular trend for an increasing amount of people to choose online shopping. It is very convenient and suitable for people’s fast-paced lifestyle nowadays. The main function I want to implement is shopping cart.
Session control is the core technology to support me achieving shopping cart. The idea of it is to be able to track a user during a single session on a website. HTTP protocol has no built-in way of maintaining state between two transactions. (Welling & Thomson 2009, 509). So session control is essential component for me to complete the project.
In this thesis, I will explain session control and involved programming languages in detail. Besides, I will also expound my design ideas to the project, and some considerable codes in the whole program.
