Palkkaus on epätasaista, naisten keskitulo yltää puoleen miesten tulosta.
Opinnäytetyössä kirjallisuuskatsauksena käydään läpi syitä sekä ehkäisykeinoja, jotka voivat vaikuttaa äitiys- ja lapsikuolleisuuteen Sambiassa. is a tropical climate and three seasons country in southern Africa. Zambia is especially known for its stunning natural parks, Victoria Falls and the Zambia River. It is one of the poorest countries in the world and generally safe, but normal caution is good to follow.
Most of the country's workers work in agriculture. Salaries are uneven, with women's average income about half that of men. The poor economic situation in Zambia, poor hygiene, uneven services, malnutrition and weak position of womenare still big problems despite of the rapid pace of the country's development.
The voluntary work of different organizations in the country has also positive impact for the health of the mothers and their newborn children and equalizes the access to different healthcare systems.
For various reasons, childbirth and its complications can even lead to the death of mother or child, but most of these can be prevented. Finland supports private sector development in Zambia in order to increase productivity and create jobs for young people.
In this thesis, a literature review examines the causes and contraceptives that can affect maternal and infant mortality in Zambia.
