This thesis converts on how the Internet has made a new platform to show art. Another half of the thesis is covering neo-naivism as a term. The text style is speculative and more an observation than a statement.
In the beginning the text speculates how social media has been born and how it has been evolving. The first chapter considers the Internet as a democratic place to build new art phenomena. Later it consists of exanimating sources and the writer’s personal comments and opinions.
After this, the text looks up what neo-naivism as a term might mean. It seems not to have an unequivocal response. The second chapter put together theories that can be connected to neo-naivism.
In the ending part, a summary is made of all the material which has been used in this thesis. In summary it agrees that the Internet is making the art world more democratic and creates new phenomena. Neo-naivism as a term is fickle but if we see it through all chapters it might turn something sincere.
The structure of the thesis is thoughtful and partly fragmentary. This form seemed like the best solution in the process. This thesis is a portrait of a moment in time. It Is not meant to be universal. The Internet is speeding up the progress of respawning phenomena.
