Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyössä kuvataan kirjastonhoitajan työtehtäviä Lahden kaupunginkirjastossa syksyllä 2019. Opinnäytetyön menetelmä on päiväkirjamuotoinen opinnäyte, ja se koostuu kymmenestä seurantaviikosta. Opinnäytetyössä kuvattavia työtehtäviä ovat muun muassa e-aineistoihin liittyvät työtehtävät, asiakaspalvelu ja aikuisten elokuvakokoelman hoito.
Opinnäytetyö on jaettu viiteen osaan, joita ovat johdanto, tietoperusta, lähtötilanteen kuvaus, päiväkirjaseuranta ja lopun pohdintaosio. Päivittäisiä työtehtäviä kuvataan ja analysoidaan viikkotasolla. Työn teoriapohjana ovat e-aineistot, joista esimerkkinä käytetään e-kirjoja.
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on seurata omaa ammatillista kehittymistä ja kehittää asiantuntijuutta hyödyntämällä päiväkirjaraportoinnin seurauksena syntyneitä uusia ideoita. Raportointijakson suurimmat haasteet liittyivät opinnäytetyön ja työnteon yhdistämiseen. Opinnäytetyön johtopäätöksiä olivat tarve kehittävälle työotteelle ja apuvälineiden hyödyntämiselle asiantuntijatyössä. Lisäksi työn jakoa ja organisoimista on syytä päivittää tasaisin väliajoin. The thesis describes librarian's assignments in the autumn of 2019 in the city library of Lahti. The method of the thesis is a diary-based thesis and observing will consist of a period of ten weeks. Some of the work assignments the thesis describes are the assignments related to the eresources, customer service and the maintenance of adults' film collection.
The thesis has been divided into five parts which are the introduction, the theoretical framework of the study, the description of the initial situation, the diary portion and the reflection section at the end. The daily work assignments are described and analyzed on weekly basis. The theoretical basis of the work is e-resources of which e-books are used as an example.
The objective of the thesis is to monitor one's own occupational development and to develop expertise by utilizing new ideas which have been created as the result of the diary reporting. The biggest challenge of the reporting period was combining working on thesis and working full time. The conclusions of the thesis were the need for developmental work approach and for utilizing different tools in expert work. Furthermore, the division and organization of labor should be updated at regular intervals.
