Tiivistelmä
Simulointi on tärkeä osa-alue pikaraitioliikenteen liikennöinnin suunnittelussa. Simuloinnilla saadaan lähtötietoja esimerkiksi kalustohankintoihin, ja tietoa liikennöinnin palvelustasosta, esimerkiksi kuljettajien eri ajotapojen vaikutuksesta liikennöinnin toimivuuteen.
Raideliikenteen simulointiohjelma Opentrack on valittu useissa hankkeissa simulointityökaluksi, mutta myös muita vastaavia ohjelmia on käytössä. Simuloinnin periaatteet vaihtelevat toistaiseksi hieman eri hankkeiden kesken.
Tietyissä tapauksissa ohje antaa vaihtoehtoja eri hajonnoille / parametreille.
Ohjeistuksen avulla simuloinneista muodostuu luonnollinen osa hankkeiden suunnitteluelinkaarta, aina esisuunnittelutasolta yleissuunnittelun kautta liikennöintiin. Simulation is an important part in the planning process of the light rail traffic. Simulation provides initial information on, for example, the purchase of trams, and information on the service level of the traffic, for example on the effects of different driving performance on drivers and on the functionality in traffic.
The rail traffic simulation program Opentrack has been selected as the simulation tool in several projects, but there are also other similar programs in use. So far, the principles of simulation vary slightly between different projects. This thesis project includes the acquisition of information through a literature review and expert interviews. A practical ex-ercise was conducted for Tvärbana in Stockholm, Sweden, with the aim of observing light rail traffic for various phenomena. Based on the results from the earlier steps in the project, the designing of the simulations was made, and a small simulation model was built in OpenTrack.
The simulations were designed to correspond with the actual traffic. The main findings includes the impact of the drivers experience to the driving efficiency/performance. Based on the results of the work, a simulation manual was developed and validated by experts. The manual contains the most important elements in modeling, and guides the reader on how to perform the most important simulations. In certain cases, the manual provides options for different parameters.
With the simulation-manual, simulations form a natural part of a projects planning cycle, from the pre-design level through general design to traffic.
