Examensarbetet har gjorts på uppdrag av Ab Rani Plast Oy. Företaget tillverkar olika förpackningslösningar av plastfilm. Kunder är så väl nationella och internationella kunder.
Rani Plast är ett globalt växande företag med ett starkt fotfäste i lantbruksbranschen. Företaget söker konstant sätt att utveckla sin verksamhet och styrka lönsamheten. Silofilmer finns av flera typer och en enorm mängd olika produkter. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ta fram beslutsunderlag om hur man skall kunna effektivera produktsortimentet samt hur man kunde minska på kapitalbindningen i lagret.
Metoden förhåller sig till teori om lagerhantering och ABC analys. Rani Plast har också angivit egna direktiv och önskemål som bör utredas och beaktas. Genom olika analyser och insamlad kunskap har underlag tagits fram som bildar grunden för studien.
Resultatet av detta examensarbete är en grov analys av de olika produktgruppernas försäljningsintäkter och vinstmarginaler samt rekommendationer gällande olika åtgärder som vore nödvändiga. This Bachelor’s thesis has been made on the behalf of Ab Rani Plast Oy. The company produce advanced packaging solutions of plastic films. Customers are to be found both nationwide and internationally.
Rani Plast is a globally growing company with a strong foothold in the agricultural segment. The company is always trying to find ways to develop their business and the profitability. In the silage film segment, there is a large number of different products. The purpose of this thesis is to provide the company with facts as a basis for decisions on how to efficiently develop the product range and minimize the capital tied up in the warehouse.
The methods used in the study is based on theory on warehouse management and ABC analysis. Rani Plast has also given their own directives and requests on what the study should include. By different analyses and applying collected knowledge, data has been processed to get a foundation for the requests of the study.
The result of this thesis is a rough analysis on revenues and profit margins for the different product groups and recommendations on necessary actions to be taken.
