Nowadays demand generates higher requirements for businesses. In order to correspond with other competitors, a hospitality organization must offer their guests all possible services. CheapSleep hostel considers tough competition in business and big demand in food & beverage services, so it was decided to create a business plan for a café. It was commissioned to present a business plan, focusing on concept and design more, than feasibility and financial calculations.
CheapSleep hostel is a nice place for tourists, who are visiting Helsinki. It is a friendly and welcoming place, but I feel, that café at the hostel would highly improve the customer experience during stay in the hostel. I am planning to design an original and modern concept, that will leave positive emotions and bring additional profit to the owners.
The thesis is a product-oriented study.
The main objective of my thesis is projecting the feasible business plan for a café, where my aim is to create, step by step, a model of a café, which might be suitable for implementing it in real life.
Additionally, I am analysing several methods for business plan development. After research, in my opinion, the business model canvas is the most suitable method to implement. After that, I am designing an appropriate business concept for the CheapSleep hostel. I am discussing the limitations and problems, that had appeared during writing my project. As a result, a business plan with business model canvas implementation is created and discussed.
