The goal of the study was to collect information on customer satisfaction, the quality of service and any improvements that need to be made based on interviews done on customers of AlfaKuntoutus.
The thesis was carried out as a qualitative study and as means of information gathering, we used thematic interviews. The interviews were carried out individually in a familiar environment. The client of this thesis was AlfaKuntoutus Hervanta Oy.
We divided the questions into three different themes, under which we added defining sub-questions based on the themes. One of the goals was also to have the results of the interviews match the questions we had prepared beforehand for the study. For this study, we got the responses from seven customers, six of which were audiotaped and one was written down.
We analyzed the responses using theming simplifying the original expressions and picking the results that match the questions of the study.
Based on the results of the study, we customers felt that the service was functional and were satisfied with the service they were given.
Some needs for improvement were however found when it came to group activities and general housing. Interaction and the meaning of conversation is closely related to the customers need for support and the need for group activities was also found to be meaningful.
In the conclusion we feel that the results are trustworthy and honest, because where were no apparent contradictions in the study. The care and support given by the employees was emphasized and the service was to be found both varied and good. It’s the little things and points of progress that affect the happiness felt by the customers.
