Registration and Onboarding of a Start-up Company for an Accountant

Abstract

This Thesis is a result following my work as an accountant. I work with many different clients, but for this work I follow one of my clients from the stage before registering the company to where it is fully operational. The tasks done for this client have been varying as some of the work has been outside the scope of an Accountant. I have consulted in registering the company, on how the company should be set up from an administrative perspective to setting up accounting processes and finally to work for the client as an accountant. I am explaining what I have done with this client and try to give reasons why certain choices have been made. I will focus on key action being done and to give a pragmatic and practical view on my work and how I serve small companies starting from the beginning in the history of one company. Working with this client and working on this Thesis has helped me to develop as an accounting professional. It has given me a good insight not only into to accounting, structuring the accounting processes and working with a client, but also given me a good view of the financial management of a small company as a whole.
