Tiivistelmä
Palvelutalojen arkeen ja asukkaiden viihtyvyyteen on kiinnitetty viime aikoina paljon huomiota. Virikkeiden määrää on nostettu ja sen laatuun on panostettu. Virtuaalielämys olisi uudenlainen ja varteenotettava kokeilu ikääntyneiden arjen rikastuttamiseksi.
Kehittämisprojekti on osa virtuaalinen elämyslääke -hanketta. Kehittämisprojektin tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa hoitajien ja ikäihmisten mielipiteitä lisätyn todellisuuden (AR) ja virtuaalitodellisuuden (VR) käytöstä palvelutalossa.
Kehittämisprojektin tavoitteena oli tuottaa uutta tietoa siitä, miten hoitohenkilökunta ajattelee voivansa hyödyntää AR- ja VR-teknologiaan perustuvia elämyksiä ikäihmisten arjen rikastuttamisessa sekä kohtaako hoitajien ja ikääntyneiden ajatukset elämyksen sisällöstä. Kehittämisprojektin tuotoksena syntyi tietoa virtuaalielämysten kehittämiseksi vanhustyöhön.
Tiedot kerättiin kotikunnaassa ryhmähaastatteluna ikääntyneiden kahdelta ryhmältä vuonna 2018 ja hoitajien ryhmältä 2019.
Virtuaalielämys koettiin positiivisena asiana, jota pystyy hyödyntämään monipuolisesti hoitotyössä ikääntyneiden arjen rikastuttamiseksi. Iäkkäät toivoivat menevämpiä elämyksiä, hoitajien ajatukseen verrattuna. The daily life of care home and the comfort of the residents has been paid to much attention lately. It has been increased the number of stimulates and efforts to improve the quality. The virtual experience would be a new and worthwhile experiment to enrich the everyday life of the elderly.
The development project is part of the virtual experience medicine project. The purpose of the development project was to map the opinions of caregivers and the elderly about the use of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) in a service house.
The aim of the development project was to produce new information on how nursing staff think they can utilize experiences based on AR and VR technology to enrich the everyday lives of the elderly, and whether caregivers and the elderly encounter thoughts about the content of the experience. The output of the development project was information for the development of virtual experiences for the elderly.
Data were collected in the home municipality as a group interview from two groups of seniors in 2018 and from a group of caregivers in 2019.
The virtual experience was perceived as a positive thing that can be utilized in a variety of ways in nursing to enrich the everyday life of the elderly. The elderly hoped for wilder experiences compared to the idea of caregivers.
