Lean management system has been highly appreciated in the manufacturing industries for the past 50 years and is a mature and well-established topic for discussion. The main objective of a Lean Manu-facturing is adding value for the customer, reduce waste in the overall value chain and create a culture of continuous improvement in the industry. Since 2011, when the term Industry 4.0 was introduced the Fourth Industrial Revolution has been considered as an opportunity for industrial business and industries are looking for ways to utilize all the advantages this transformation could bring. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and develop an integration model that could address the concerns of organizations implementing Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0. The thesis is completely based on theoretical research. The author describes the relationship among two different management paradigms and introduces a model based on philosophy, principles and pillars.
