Tiivistelmä
In this thesis, the main topics examined are successful leadership and organizational culture. The aim of this study is to determine whether a successful leadership in hotel Villa Badi is applied or not, and how positive is the organizational atmosphere in the company – including the relationship between the employees and the manager of the hotel.

The research method used in this study is quantitative – a Webropol online survey. The author created two surveys – one for the manager and other for the employees. In the surveys participated 10 employees and the manager of the hotel. The survey questions focused on defining the manager’s leadership skills and examining the organizational culture of Villa Badi hotel.

The outcome of the survey demonstrates that all the employees are satisfied with their current work situation and they would recommend Villa Badi hotel as a company to work for. Most employees’ answers show a high level of engagement in the workplace. In addition, the employees are inspired both by their manager and their colleagues and have positive relationships. The work atmosphere of Villa Badi hotel is positive and the teamwork functions well.

According to the results, the author's suggestions for Villa Badi hotel are more training opportunities for the employees, implementing goal-setting method to increase the motivation of the workers, and dividing the workload evenly between all the staff members.
