This product-oriented thesis was conducted for a newly established in Moscow jewellery company called “Elze”. The creation of a website was a necessity for the commissioning party in order to expand their client base, attain growth within the jewellery industry, enhance marketing and ultimately maximise their revenue. Therefore, the aim of the thesis was to create an informative and visual website presenting the companies’ values and products, as well as improve and ease the communication process between the company and its customers. Also, as the vast majority of the population uses mobile phones, creating a mobile responsive website was another aim from which the commissioning party greatly benefited.
As Instagram is the main marketing platform that the brand uses and its competitors employ, marketing was enhanced through this particular platform as well as included references to itself in the official website. This was an effective way to create more visibility on both platforms and raise the number of orders due to ease of access as well as provide greater visual appeal of the products to the clientele.
The theoretical framework of this thesis introduces a thorough market and competition analysis, as well as an overview of marketing as a concept. The theory concerning a successful creation of a website followed by ways this site can be prosperously marketed within the target groups of the business are also present. In addition, the thesis contains an in-depth explanation of the website creation process.
The website itself was created on a platform called “Wix” which allowed international access to the website under development (in difference to other presented sites), included a variety of features available for use and had an easy usability system. As a result of the thesis, “Elze” will be able to provide their customers a comprehensive and appealing website which includes verified information, visual representations of the company's’ products, as well as the possibility to contact the brand online and safely place an order.
