Käyttöliittymäsuunnittelu yrityksen näkökulmasta

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli suunnitella Kuntien Tieran Parasta Palvelua PSOP-järjestelmän palveluntuottajaksi hakeutumisen polku uudelleen ja tuottaa siitä esittelymalli. Opinnäytetyön toteutuksessa on käytetty AdobeXD-sovellusta esittelymallin luomiseen.

Esittelymallin pohjana käytettiin nykyistä palveluntuottajaksi hakeutumisen polkua. Pääpaino oli käytettävyyden parantamisessa. Nykyisessä polussa hakemuksen täyttäminen vaatii erilliset ohjeet ja näkymät ovat monella sivulla hyvin laajoja. Kaikki nykyisin kerättävät tiedot luokiteltiin tarpeellisiin, tarpeettomiin ja mahdollisesti tarpeellisiin mallin luomisen yhteydessä. Tiedot, joita ei enää koettu tarpeelliseksi, poistettiin hakeutumispolusta. Näkymiä yksinkertaistettiin, niin että käyttäjä ei joudu täyttämään useaan otteeseen samaan aiheeseen liittyviä tietoja ripotellen. Esimerkiksi liitteet siirrettiin kaikki omaan näkymäänsä. Näin liitteiden hallinta on kätevämpää, kun ne kaikki liitetään samalta sivulta sen sijaan, että niitä kysyttäisiin erikseen aihekohtaisesti omilla sivuillaan.

Opinnäytetyön tuloksena on AdobeXd-esittelymalli yrityksen hakeutumisesta palveluntarjoajaksi PSOP-järjestelmään. Tuotettua mallia voidaan käyttää pohjana, kun järjestelmää aletaan uudistaa syksyllä 2020. Mahdolliset edut työn tuloksista ovat järjestelmän parempi käytettävyys sekä hakemuksen täyttämisen yksinkertaisuus ja nopeus. Ei tarvita erillistä kirjallista ohjetta, kun täyttää hakemusta, jolla haetaan palveluntarjoajaksi eikä tarpeettomia tietoja enää kerätä. Myös sivujen ulkoasun muuttaminen mahdollisemman yksinkertaiseksi ja täytettävien kenttien sekä valikkojen yksinkertaistaminen säästävät turhaa klikkailua.

The purpose of the Bachelor’s Thesis was to redesign the path of applying for the PSOP system as a service provider of the Kuntien Tiera and to produce a presentation model from it. The implementation of the thesis is done with AdobeXd program to create a presentation model.

The presentation model was based on the current path of applying to be a service provider. The main focus was on improving usability. In the current path completing the application requires separate instructions and the views are very complicated on many pages. All data currently collected was classified as necessary, unnecessary or potentially necessary when creating the model. Information that was no longer considered necessary was removed from the applying path. The views were simplified so that the user does not have to fill in several times by sprinkling information related to same topic. For example, attachments are all transferred to their own view. This makes it more convenient to manage attachments when they are all attached from the same page, rather than asking them separately by topic on their own pages.

The result of the thesis is the AdobeXd presentation model of how to apply to be a service provider in the PSOP system. The produced model can be used as a basis when the system will be renewed in autumn 2020. The potential benefits from the results of the work are better usability of the system, filling in the application is simpler and faster. There is no need for a separate written instruction to complete the application to become a service provider and unnecessary information will no longer be collected. Also making the layout of the pages as simple as possible and simplifying the fields and menus to be filled in saves unnecessary clicks.
