Tiivistelmä
This Bachelor’s thesis looks at the financial performance of a Notary Office called Company X. The overall aim of the study was to deliver performance analysis of the Company
X. The goal was thus to provide information on the financial condition of the commissioning
company.
The thesis consists of a theory section and an empiric section that is related to the commissioning company. The theoretical part includes a knowledge foundation based on relevant literature and sources from the Internet. The empirical part focuses on the commissioning company’s financial performance. The study involved qualitative method – company’s internal documents. The calculations were presented in numeral and graphical
forms with analysis of ratios included in the paper. An interview was carried out with the
CEO of the commissioning company to obtain views of the possible recommendations.
The analysis showed that the commissioning company is in its growth stage. Except the
last examined period of time, the Company X resulted in an increasing value of its volume
of business: net sales and balance sheet total. The same applied to the profitability ratios:
operating (profit) margin, net (profit) margin, Return on Assets and Return on Equity. Liquidity measures had the same results over the entire study period.
In conclusion, based on the key figures, the study showed that the Company X during the
examined period of time achieved acceptable results. However,
