Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tutkia kosteutta ja sen vaikutusta pientaloissa. Työssä paneudutaan kosteuden toimintaan ja sen käyttäytymiseen sekä kosteudesta aiheutuviin vaurioihin rakenteissa.
Työssä kerrotaan kosteuden ominaisuuksista eri rakenteissa ja sen vaikutuksista rakentamisen eri vaiheissa. Kosteus käyttäytyy eri tavoin erilaisissa olosuhteissa, minkä takia kosteuden muodostumisen ymmärtäminen on tärkeää rakentamisessa.
Työssä kerrotaan kosteuden käyttäytymisestä, ilmenemisestä sekä korjaamisesta eri rakenneosissa. Työssä käsiteltävät rakenneosat ovat rakennuksen perustus, ala- ja yläpohja, märkätilat sekä seinärakenteet.
Opinnäytetyön tuloksena havaittiin, että kosteusvaurioilla on merkittävät talous- ja terveysvaikutukset, minkä vuoksi mahdollisen kosteusvaurion syntyminen täytyy tiedostaa rakentamisen aikana. Jo aiheutuneet vauriot tulee huomata ajoissa ja korjata asianmukaisesti. Lisäksi valmiiden rakennusten ylläpidon ja huoltamisen tulisi olla säännöllistä. The main objective of this thesis was to study moisture and its effects on detached houses. The thesis focuses on how moisture functions and behaves, as well as on moisture damage to structures.
The thesis describes the properties of moisture in different structures and the effects it has in different stages of construction. Moisture behaves differently in different conditions, which is why understanding the formation of moisture is important in construction.
The thesis describes the behavior and occurrence of moisture, as well as its repair in different structural elements. The structural elements discussed in the thesis are the foundation of a building, the base floor and roof structure, wet spaces, and wall structures.
The outcome of this thesis was that moisture damage has significant effects both economically and health-wise, which is why the occurrence of possible moisture damage must be recognized during construction. Damage already caused must be noticed in time and repaired appropriately. In addition, the maintenance of buildings should be regular.
