Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaan (Turun Osuuskauppa) infotabletin sisältöä ja palveluita. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää asiakkaiden käyttökokemuksia tabletista, jotta sen sisällöllä voitaisiin vastata paremmin hotellin kohderyhmän tarpeisiin ja toiveisiin. Työn tavoitteena oli luoda infotablettiin sisällön kehitysehdotuksia, jotka pohjautuisivat asiakkaille teetettyyn kyselyyn sekä omaan näkemykseeni.
Työssä toteutettiin kysely toimeksiantajan pyynnöstä. Kyselylomakkeessa hotellin majoittujilta tiedusteltiin kokemuksia tabletin käytöstä ja pyydettiin esittämään toiveita sen sisältöön. Työn loppuun luodut sisällön kehitysehdotukset pohjautuivat opinnäytetyön tietoperustaan, kyselyn 57 vastaukseen sekä omaan ammatilliseen näkemykseeni.
Työn tulokseksi saatiin seitsemän sisällön kehitysehdotusta, joissa tablettiin luotiin uusia palveluita, sen rakennetta paranneltiin, ja sen sisällöstä pyrittiin tekemään mahdollisimman asiakaslähtöinen ja myyvä. Kehitysehdotuksissa muun muassa tabletin ruoka & juoma -välilehteä muokattiin selkeämmäksi, ja tablettiin nostettiin esille hotellin kanta-asiakasetuja sekä tarjouksia.
Opinnäytetyön tuloksia voidaan hyödyntää tabletin kehitysprosessissa, ottaa talteen asiakkaiden ja työn tekijän näkemyksiä aiheesta sekä käyttää niitä hyväksi mahdollisissa jatkotutkimuksissa. The aim of the thesis was to develop the content and services of the Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaa’s (Turku cooperative) information tablet, that is available to all guests in their respective hotel room. The purpose was to learn more about the customer’s user experience with the tablet, in order to improve the content to better meet the needs and wants of the hotel’s target market. The aim of this study was to create a content development proposals for the tablet, which would be based on the information gathered from the customer surveys and interpretation as well as my own analysis.
A survey was conducted by the hotel, where the guests were asked to answer a questionnaire about their experience with the tablet and to comment on its content. The content development proposal presented at the end of the thesis was conformed from: the theoretical portion of the thesis, the 57 responses of the survey and my own analysis.
The result of the research produced seven content development proposals, in which new services were created for the tablet, as well as structural improvements, with the aim to be as customer appealing as possible, and generate higher sales. In addition, the development proposals improved the tablet’s food & beverage section, to be more user friendly and highlights the hotel’s loyal customer benefits.
The results of the thesis can be utilized in the tablet development process, capturing the views of customers, as well as the researchers findings and can be used for further research if needed.
