Temat för mitt examensarbete är musikproducentens roller och teoretiska verktyg.
Som underlag har jag valt att formulera en analys av processen med att producera al-bumet Key To The City (Folkwit Records 2011) för artisten Rebecca Clamp. Materialet består av den färdiga skivan Key To The City, intervjuer, dokumentation och filer från inspelningarna, e-post samt mina egna minnesbilder från produktionen. Jag presenterar de produktionstekniska begrepp som belyser de viktigaste aspekterna av skivprodukt-ionen: V.I.S.I.O.N. - en matris för att åskådliggöra förproduktionen, The Producers Good C.A.P - produktionens tre huvudelement. och Producer mindsets - producentens olika ansvarsområden och roller. Jag studerar dessa närmare och sammanfattar en teoretisk mall för en ändamålsenlig skivproduktion. Med den mallen jämför jag på vilka grunder jag har förverkligat produktionen av skivan Key To The City och vilka kvaliteter produktionen har. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att beskriva och analysera processen med att producera skivan Key To The City. The theme of my thesis is the music producer's roles and theoretical tools.
As a basis I have chosen to formulate an analysis of the process of producing the album Key To The City (Folkwit Records, 2011) for the artist Rebecca Clamp. The material consists of the finished album Key To The City, interviews, documents and files from the recordings, emails, and my own recollections of the production. I present concepts that illustrate the different aspects of the production: V.I.S.I.O.N. - A matrix to illustrate the elements of pre-production, The Producers Good CAP - the three main elements that stand as basis for the production. Producer Mindsets - the producer's responsibilities and roles. I study them closely and summarize a theoretical template for an adequate and conceptually successful record production. With the template I analyze production process of making the album Key To The City and the quality of production. The purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyze the process of producing the album Key To The City.
