Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on kuvata, miten kohdeyrityksen dokumentit siirretään uuteen työryhmäohjelmistoon.
The aim of the thesis was to describe how the documents of the target company were transferred to the new workgroup software. The transition to the new software was necessary as the company was completely relinquishing the licenses for the old software. The decision to choose the new software was made by the company's project department, which, in cooperation with the new service provider, instructed each production department to transfer its own documents to the new system. The people in charge of each production department learned how to use the new software, moved all the old documents there, and trained their own departments to use the software in their work.
Initially, the thesis generally reviewed the connection of quality definitions to quality management, the purpose of quality definitions and the requirements set by the department for documents. It was not desired to select too large an entity for consideration, so focusing specifically on the needs of the department was considered natural. In addition, the good and bad features of the new and old software were reviewed and the actual transfer process of the documents was described. Finally, the software was implemented and the end result was examined, as well as possible improvement needs.
The requirements indicated by the department were mainly met and the documents were transferred to the new system in time. Training was also given to the quality managers of the production departments and the old software was abandoned. Maybe the new software was not the best option for the production department under consideration, but because it was predefined, it had to be modified to make it as functional as possible. The documents may be transferred to possibly better software in the future, but before that it will be examined what the new software has to offer for the needs of the department.
