Kulttuurinen näkökulma kuukautisiin : opetusvideo sairaanhoitajaopiskelijoille

Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tehdä opetusvideo kulttuurisesta näkökulmasta kuukautisiin sairaanhoitajaopiskelijoille äitiys- ja perhehoitotyön kurssille. Tavoitteena on tuoda esille tietoa erilaisten kulttuurien suhtautumisesta kuukautisiin ja vahvistaa hoitoalan opiskelijoiden kulttuurisensitiivistä työotetta.
Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin tuotekehitysprosessina, joka aloitettiin kehittämistarpeen tunnistamisella. Kaakkois-Suomen ammattikorkeakoululla oli tarve saada opetusvideo aiheesta “Kulttuurinen näkökulma kuukautisiin”. Ideointivaiheessa toteutettiin opetusvideon sisältöön liittyvä aivoriihi yhdessä toimeksiantajan kanssa. Luonnosteluvaiheessa keskityttiin teoriasisällön kirjoittamiseen ja tutustuttiin aikaisempaan tutkimustietoon. Kehittelyvaiheessa tehtiin tuote eli opetusvideo. Viimeistelyvaiheessa toteutettiin Webropol-kysely sairaanhoitajaopiskelijoille. Kyselyn avulla saatiin palautetta kokonaisvaltaisesti videon sisällöstä ja sen hyödystä oppimateriaalina. Opetusvideo valmistui yhteistyössä toimeksiantajan kanssa.
Valmis opetusvideo on oppimistavoitteita tukeva kokonaisuus. Video on selkeä ja johdonmukainen. Videosta saatu palaute oli positiivista ja kannustavaa. Tulevaisuudessa olisi mielenkiintoista nähdä uusia tutkimuksia ja videoita opinnäytetyön aiheesta, joissa syvennyttäisiin yksittäisiin kulttuureihin. The purpose of the thesis was to make a learning video for nursing students to be used in the maternity and family health care course. The subject of the learning video is the cultural aspects of menstruation. The video aims for teaching nursing students about the attitudes to menstruation in different cultures and to strengthen a cultural-sensitive approach.
The study was carried out as a product development process and was started by the identification of development needs. The South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences expressed a need for a learning video about the cultural perspectives on menstruation. During the ideation phase, the video and its contents were brainstormed together with the client. In the drafting phase the focus was on the theoretical content of the text and examination of earlier research papers on the topic. In the development phase the actual learning video was created, and in the finishing phase a Webropol - survey was sent to the nursing students in order to collect feedback. The feedback from the survey was informative when it comes to the contents of the video and its advantages as educational material. The learning video was created in a joint effort with the client.
The completed learning video supports the learning objectives. The video was found to be clear and consistent. The feedback of the video has been positive and encouraging. In the future it would be interesting to see research and learning videos that delve more deeply into individual cultures.
