Tiivistelmä
This thesis was commissioned by BearIT Oy. The company has been operating since 2013, and it has offices in Tampere and Helsinki. BearIT focuses on IT consulting, alongside digital career services. It is the only privately owned company in its field to feature the Finnish Social Enterprise mark.
The author of this thesis works for BearIT in sales and will be responsible for the operation of a partnership network. The author is familiar with the sector, and the functioning of different partnership networks.
The author researched different partnership networks using different analysis frameworks. The research was qualitative in nature. Data was gathered from the websites of different organization, alongside different written articles, and company financial information.
The research found out that successful partnership networks have a large number of partners and they feature international customers. They may also feature different platforms designed solely for the purpose of operating a partnership network. During the research it was found that the partnership network industry currently lacks a network which caters to smaller sized companies.
Based on the research, a guide was created which details the steps necessary to create and operate a partnership network. These steps include the platform, segmentation, collection of partners, marketing, operation, value proposition, and key performance metrics to track overall success.
