Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyö koostuu kirjallisesta ja taiteellisesta osiosta. Taiteellinen osio on konsertti ’Iltapäivä Wienissä’ Nauvon kamarimusiikkipäivillä. Konsertti pidettiin Nauvon kirkossa 5.7.2019. Tavoitteena kirjallisessa opinnäytetyössä on selvittää, mitä käytännön seurauksia on aiheutunut taiteen perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteiden uudistuksesta vuodelta 2017. Tavoitteena on myös selvittää, miten opettajan työnkuva muuttuu uudistuksen myötä.
Tutkimuskysymyksen vastaamiseen hyödynnetään aiempaa tutkimusmateriaalia, josta käy ilmi keskeiset muutokset taiteen perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteissa. Muutosten käytännön seurauksia tutkittiin haastattelemalla opettajia ja rehtoreita kolmessa musiikkioppilaitoksessa. Tutkimuksellinen viitekehys rajautuu musiikin laajaan oppimäärän.
Opetussuunnitelman perusteiden uudistuksen käytännön seurauksia tarkastellaan tässä opinnäytetyössä neljästä näkökulmasta: 1) toimintakulttuuri – miten yhteiskunnan muuttuvat arvot ja asenteet vaikuttavat musiikin harrastamiseen, 2) oppilaskeskeisyys – miten uudistuneet oppimiskäsitykset mahdollistavat musiikin harrastamisen moninaisuutta, 3) musiikin hahmottamisaineiden sisältö – miten oppiaineiden integroiminen johtaa niin oppiaineiden kuin niitten opettajien väliseen vuoropuheluun sekä 4) arviointi – miten tasosuoritusjärjestelmästä ollaan siirtymässä kohti uusia arviointimenetelmiä.
Lopuksi pohditaan, miltä taiteen perusopetuksen mukaisen musiikin harrastamisen sekä musiikkioppilaitosjärjestelmän tulevaisuus tutkimustulosten valossa näyttää. Lisäksi pohditaan sitä, miten soitonopettajan työnkuva on muuttumassa, miten se vaikuttaa mestari–kisälli-suhteeseen ja millaisilla työkaluilla tulevaisuuden soitonopettajan tulisi varustautua, jotta hän pystyisi tarttumaan uudistukseen hyvin käytännön tasolla. This bachelor`s thesis consists of two parts. The artistic part is the concert Iltapäivä Wienissä (“An afternoon in Vienna”) as part of the chamber music festival in Nagu 2019. The concert was held in Nagu church on the 5th of July 2019. The objective of the written part of this thesis is to explore the practical consequences of the 2017 reform of the national core curriculum of the basic arts education. Another objective is to highlight the changes this reform has caused to the work image of an instrument teacher.
In order to understand the changes that the reform has brought, previous publications – that highlight the changes in the national core curriculum – are examined. Based on these changes to the national core curriculum, interviews with teachers and principals of three music colleges were made. The aim of the interviews is to highlight the practical consequences of the 2017 reform. The frame of reference in this thesis is restricted to the advanced syllabus in music education.
The practical consequences of the 2017 reform are surveyed from four perspectives: 1) working culture — how changing values and attitudes in the society are impacting music education, 2) student centered pedagogy — how renewed the concepts of learning enables music education to be more diverse, 3) subjects in perceiving music — how integrated studies opens up for dialogue between different subjects and their teachers and 4) assessment — how exam-based systems are being replaced by new evaluation methods.
Finally, will be considered what the future of music in accordance with basic education in the arts and the music educational system will look like in the light of the results of the research. In addition, will be considered how the job description of music educators is changing and how it affects the master—apprentice relationship, and what tools the teacher should be equipped with for the future to tackle the reform at a very practical level.
