Rakennustyömaan jätehuollon edistäminen

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena oli kehittää Lujatalon rakennustyömaan jätehuoltoa. Työn tavoitteena oli saada Lujatalon työnjohto käyttämään heidän uutta Rakennusjätteiden kierto -ohjetta. Työssä avattiin työmailla käytettäviä Lassila & Tikanojan jätehuoltosuunnitelmia ja Rakennusjätteiden kierto -ohjetta. Lisäksi työn tavoitteena oli saada Lujatalolle jäte-experttejä työnjohdosta ja rakennustyöntekijöistä.

Työssä kerrottiin voimassa olevasta jätelaista ja sen tulevasta uudistuksesta, EU:n jätesäädöspaketista sekä maankäyttö- ja rakennuslain uudistuksesta liittyen rakennustyömaiden jätteisiin. Työssä avattiin rakentamisen kiertotaloutta ja rakennusjätteiden vaikutusta hiilijalanjälkeen.

Opinnäytetyö oli rajattu v. 2021 kevääseen, jolloin työmaalta saatiin jätedataa. Työssä suunniteltiin Tuotantokeittiö Voimian Padalle omaa tarkempaa jätehuoltosuunnitelmaa ja sovellettiin Rakennusjätteiden kierto -ohjetta. Työssä esitettiin uusi työmaan aluesuunnitelmaan ja rakennuksen kerrosten pohjakuviin perustuva jätepisteiden paikkojen määrittelyohje sekä luotiin ”Jäteapuri” – konsepti joka tulevaisuudessa tulee vapauttamaan työnjohtajien työresursseja muihin töihin. Opinnäytetyössä haastateltiin rakennusalan ammattilaisia ja jätehuoltoyhtiö Lassila & Tikanojan edustajaa.

Opinnäytetyön avulla Tuotantokeittiö Voimian Padan työmaalla jätehuoltoon paneuduttiin syvemmin. Työmaan alussa jätteiden lajitteluun ei kiinnitetty huomiota. Opinnäytetyön aikana lajittelu työmaalla parantui huomattavasti. Työmaan työnjohdon ja työntekijöiden asenne jätehuollon suhteen muuttuivat positiiviseen suuntaan. Opinnäytetyön myötä yhteistyö jätehuoltoyhtiö Lassila & Tikanojan kanssa on lisännyt työmaalla tietoisuutta jätteiden kierrätyksestä, lajittelusta ja erilaisista keräysvälineistä.

The topic of this thesis was to promote waste management at the Lujatalo construction site. The goal of the work was to get Lujatalo´s management to use their newly established Construction Waste Management Plan guidelines. In the paper, the waste management plans at Lassila & Tikanoja and the Construction Waste Management Plan guidelines were both looked at with greater detail. The goal was to produce waste-experts for Lujatalo, out of its workers and management.

The work described the current waste law and its upcoming reform, the EU´s waste package and the reform of the Land Use and Construction Act in relation to construction site waste. The work looks at the circular economy of construction and the effect/impact of construction waste on the carbon footprint.

Timing of the thesis was limited to the spring of 2021, when waste data was received from the construction site. In the work, Tuotantokeittiö Voimian Pata was designed with its own waste management plan that adapted the Construction Waste Management Plan guidelines. The work presented new guidelines for establishing the locations of waste points based on the site- and floor plans of the building blueprints, and created the “Jäte-apuri” (Waste-helper) concept, which in the future will free up the work resources of foremen for other jobs. Construction professionals and a representative of the waste management company Lassila & Tikanoja were interviewed in the production of this thesis.

With the help of this thesis, the waste management processes at the construction site of Tuotantokeittiö Voimian Pata, were delved into more deeply. At the beginning of the site, no attention was paid to waste sorting but during the time of the thesis, waste sorting on site was improved considerably. The attitude towards waste management by the site management and employees, changed in a positive way. With the thesis, co-operation with the waste management company Lassila & Tikanoja has increased awareness of waste recycling, sorting and various collection tools at the construction site.
