This diary type thesis was written to follow a 10 week work period of a technical support engineer. The purpose of the thesis is to write daily reports of completed tasks at the place of employment and to analyze the daily reports in regards to progress and development.
The thesis shows and explains the required tools and methods for completing a wide range of tasks as well as a clear understanding of the electronic invoicing world. The analysis was completed every week from the daily reports written for the week. The weekly analyses reveals different key concepts of system infrastructure and system communication by focusing on topics such as REST API, Amazon Web Services and SFTP.
The thesis indicates clear development of skills in the Linux environment, scripting, relational databases as well as understanding the system infrastructure implemented at the place of employment.
