Opinnäytetyö on toteutettu tapaustutkimuksena, jossa on käytetty laadullisen tutkimuksen menetelmiä.
The aim of this thesis was to find out how to increase the identity of HAMK Design Factory's courses and how to develop identification in the future. The need to map the elements of identity arose when there was no previous research on this topic through Design Factory's internal operations. The thesis framework reviews the concepts of branding, working environment and data visualization.
The thesis has been carried out as a case study using qualitative research methods. The study was conducted as a thematic interview, in which the teaching staff of the defined courses were asked about the meanings of the different elements of identity. A total of 100% replied to the thematic interview, i.e., eight teaching staff, and the research results were analyzed by theme.
Based on the results of the study, culture and visualization play a more important role in increasing identity than branding. HAMK Design Factory's brand was seen to be still under construction. The most important theme of culture was people and working together, reflecting low hierarchy and co-development. The study highlighted development measures to increase identity, such as cultural sharing, reputation analysis and the visualization manual.
