Tiivistelmä
Tutkimuksellisessa opinnäytetyössä analysoidaan monivaiheisen ja -vuotisen taiteellisen työn yhteyttä häpeän, toiseuden ja vallan teemoihin. Taiteellinen työ koostuu Rippituoli-installaatiosta, performatiivisista työpajoista sekä niiden synnyttämistä teoksista.
Taiteellisen työn eri osa-alueet esitellään kuvien, havaintojen ja yleisöpalautteen avulla reflektoiden niiden sisältöä häpeän, toiseuden ja vallan teorioihin.
Rippituoli-projekti on osallistava ja poikkitaiteellinen projekti, joka kontekstualisoi häpeän, toiseuden ja vallan teemoja. Projekti käsittelee myös sosiaalista kontrollia, normatiivista ajattelua sekä katsetta ja tekijyyttä.
Tutkimuksellinen opinnäyte osoittaa, miten taiteen kautta voidaan tuoda esiin ja kohdata yllä mainittuja teemoja. Taiteen avulla on mahdollista käsitellä häpeän ja toiseuden sosiokontruistista luonnetta sekä kyseenalaistaa yhteiskunnassa toistuvaa me–toiset -ajattelua. In this bachelor’s thesis analyzes the connection between an multiphase and -year artwork and themes of shame, otherhood and power. The Artwork consists of Confessional Chair -installation, performative workshops and artworks based on the workshops.
The different parts of the artwork are presented in this thesis via photographs, perceptions and feedback of the participans. The content of the artwork is reflected in respect of theories of shame, otherhood and power.
Confessional Chair -project is a participatory and cross-art project, which contextualize themes of shame, otherhood and power. The artwork also deals with social control, normative thinking, gaze and authorship.
The Thesis demonstrates how through art is possible to bring forth and encounter the themes ditto. Via art is possible to deal with the sociocultural nature of shame and otherhood and also contests the we – the others -debate in society.
