Tietomallikoordinointi rakennushankeprosessissa: uudisrakentaminen

Abstract

Tutkimustyön tilaajana toimi Arkkitehtipalvelu Oy, joka tarjoaa pää- ja arkkitehtisuunnittelun lisäksi myös täydentäviä palveluja, kuten tietomallikoordinointia. Yritystä kiinnosti tietomallipohjaisen rakennushankkeen suunnitteluprosessin kulku tietomallikoordinoinnin ja arkkitehtisuunnittelun näkökulmasta ja mitä vaikutuksia tulevalla maankäyttö- ja rakennuslain uudistuksella on tuleviin tietomalliprojekteihin. Ympäristöministeriön ajama maankäyttö- ja rakennuslain uudistus sisältää rakennusalan digitalisaation kehittämisen, johon myös arkkitehtisuunnitteluun vaikuttava tietomallipohjainen rakentamislupa kuuluu.

Tutkimuksen lähestymistapana käytettiin tapaustutkimusta. Tiedonkeruumenetelminä käytettiin rakennusalan ammattikirjallisuutta, määräyksiä ja ohjeita sekä rakennusalan ammattilaisten julkaisuja ja opinnäyte-/diplomitöitä. Asiantuntijoille kohdistettu kysely puolestaan täydensi tietoperustasta tullutta käsitystä tutkitusta aiheesta, ja maankäyttö- ja rakennuslain uudistuksen seuraaminen tutkimustyön aikana toi esiin, kuinka hitaasti rakennusalan digitalisaatio kehittyy Suomessa.

Teoriaosuudessa selvitettiin tietomallimanagerin ja tietomallikoordinaattorin tehtäväeroja rakennusalan ammattikirjallisuutta hyödyntäen ja kyselytutkimuksen tuloksia verrattiin teoriaosaan. Lisäksi kartoitettiin tietomallikoordinoinnille asetettuja vaatimuksia ja tämänhetkistä koulutustarjontaa.

Tutkimustyö painottui rakennushankkeen suunnittelunaikaisiin tietomallinnustehtäviin ja niiden koordinointiin. Suunnittelijoiden tietomallinnustehtävissä keskityttiin arkkitehtimallinnukselle asetettuihin vaatimuksiin, jotka määritellään uudistuvassa Yleiset tietomallivaatimukset 2020- julkaisusarjassa. Tietomalliasiantuntijoille kohdistetun kyselyn avulla saatiin hyvin esiin tietomalliprosessiin vaikuttavia tekijöitä ja kehitystarpeita.

Tutkimustyön tuloksena Arkkitehtipalvelu Oy:lle laadittiin asiakirjoja ja toimintaohjeita, joiden avulla yrityksen tietomallikoordinointipalvelun yhtenäistäminen ja koordinoinnin työtehtäviin perehdyttäminen helpottuvat. Tietomallipohjaisen rakentamisluvan esittely valmistaa arkkitehtisuunnittelijat tuleviin uudistuksiin.

The research work was commissioned by Arkkitehtipalvelu Oy, which, in addition to main and architectural design, also offers complementary services, such as information model coordination. The company was interested in the design process for an information model-based construction project from the perspective of information model coordination and architectural design and the implications of the forthcoming reform of the Land Use and Building Act for future information model projects. The reform of the Land Use and Building Act pursued by the Ministry of the Environment includes the development of digitalisation in the construction sector, which also includes an information model-based building permit that affects architectural design. The research method applied was a case study. For the data collection, professional literature in the field of construction, regulations and instructions, publications, theses as well as diploma theses of construction professionals were used. The survey of experts, in turn, complemented the understanding of the research topic from the knowledge base. Furthermore, monitoring the reform of the Land Use and Construction Act during the research work revealed how slowly the digitalisation of the construction industry is developing in Finland. In the theoretical part, the differences between the tasks of the information model manager and the information model coordinator were investigated using the professional literature in the construction industry. The results of the survey were also compared with the theoretical part. In addition, the requirements for information model coordination and the current training offering were mapped. The research work focused on the information modeling tasks during the design of the construction project and their coordination. The designers' information modeling tasks focused on the requirements set for architectural modeling, which are defined in the renewed General Information Model Requirements 2020 publication series. A survey of information model experts highlighted the factors and development needs influencing the information model process. As a result of the research work, documents and operating instructions were prepared for Arkkitehtipalvelu Oy, which will facilitate the unification of the company's information model coordination service and familiarize the coordination with the work tasks. The presentation of an information model-based building permit prepares architects for the legistlative reform which is currently ongoing.
