Tiivistelmä
Today the world is small and dynamic .The entrepreneurship start-ups in Finland is above the EU standard however the survival rate is two years following their com-mencement.
Once a business is up and running, the threat of losing the entrepreneurial spirit looms in the company’s atmosphere. The employees aren’t as passionate and enthusiastic as they were when they joined the company hence the mission that was once the driving force is nothing more than just a mere get it over and done with job.
The purpose of this thesis is to identify the rewards, recognition and motivational tac-tics that can help boost the entrepreneurial spirit of the employees. Based on the survey conducted, the research discloses that the type of reward, modes of recognition and styles of motivating the employees affects the company in a significant way. The structure in growing businesses needs regular adjustment to hold clear communications and definitions of responsibilities. Trust between management and employees also play an important role in the overall performance of the company.
The data collection is based on theories related to the findings from the distribution of the questionnaires in order to assemble quantitative and reliable data which were dis-tributed to SME’s in the southern region of Finland. My findings will help them give suggestions on how the different approaches help in stabilizing the entrepreneurial spirit.
