Angio-CT Miyabi® : röntgenhoitajien odotuksia uudesta laitteesta ja sen käyttöönotosta

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on lisätä uuden käyttöön otettavan kuvantamis- ja hoitomenetelmän tunnettavuutta erityisesti radiografiatyön näkökulmasta. Tarkoituksena on kuvailla uutta kuvantamismenetelmää, sen käyttöä ja osaamisvaatimuksia röntgenhoitajan kannalta. Idean opinnäytetyöhömme saimme Turun yliopistollisen keskussairaalan toimenpideradiologiselta osastolta (ent. angiologian osasto). Opinnäytetyö on luonteeltaan tutkimuksellinen, jossa on myös toiminnallinen osio. Opinnäytetyön materiaali kerättiin kirjallisuuden perusteella sekä haastattelemalla toimenpideradiologisen osaston henkilökuntaa puolistrukturoidun haastattelumallin mukaisesti (n=5). Vastauksista kävi ilmi, että koulutuksen merkitys koettiin vastaajien keskuudessa tärkeäksi, ja se oli onnistunut hyvin. Lisäksi CT:n tuomien uudenlaisten teknisten osaamisvaatimusten koettiin tuovan lisää työn sisältöä ja työn itsenäisyyden koettiin myös lisääntyvän. Kokonaisuudessaan vastaajat kokivat potilaan hoidon nopeutuvan ja toiminnan sujuvoituvan menetelmän myötä. Haastattelun lisäksi uudet tilat ja laitteet valokuvattiin. Opinnäytetyö esitellään PowerPoint® -esityksen muodossa Radiografiapäivillä toukokuussa 2013 ja siitä laaditaan posteri VSKK:n toimenpideradiologisen yksikön käyttöön. Esitysten avulla levitetään tietoa uudesta menetelmästä ja sen mahdollisuuksista.

The aim of this thesis is to increase awareness of a newly introduced hybrid diagnostic imaging modality and a method of treatment from a radiography standpoint. Additionally, the thesis describes the new modality, how it is used and what are radiographers’ prerequisite skills for working with it. The assignment for the thesis was given by the interventional radiology unit (formerly angiology unit) at Turku University Hospital. This thesis is a study which includes a functional section. Material and data for the study were gathered methodically from literature and by interviewing the staff of the interventional radiology unit using the principles of a semi-structured interview (n=5). The responses showed that the interviewees considered end-user training an important factor and the end-user training was successful. Furthermore, the new skills required to operate a CT scanner were perceived as providing more contents to the work and increasing the independence of the work. On the whole, the respondents found that patient care is faster and operation is more fluent with this technique. In addition to interviewing the staff, the new facilities and the diagnostic imaging equipment were photographed. The thesis will be presented at the Finnish radiography convention in May 2013 as a PowerPoint® presentation, and a poster will be drawn up for the interventional radiology unit’s use. These presentations are used to convey information about the new technique and its potential.
