Opinnäytetyö on osa Hämeen ammattikorkeakoulun toteuttamaa projektia. Opinnäytetyö on kvalitatiivinen eli laadullinen tutkimus.
Kotiutusohjeet olivat puutteellisia. Haastateltavat olisivat kaivanneet kirjallisia kotiutusohjeita suullisten ohjeiden tueksi.
Kehittämiskohteiksi tämän aineiston pohjalta nousevat potilaan hoitopolun selkeyttäminen ja nopeuttaminen eri organisaatioiden välillä, kuntoutuksen aikaisen kivunhoidon kehittäminen sekä kirjallisten potilasohjeiden laatiminen lonkkamurtumapotilaille.

The purpose of this study was to identify hip fracture in the patients' own experiences of the care and treatment effectiveness after a hip fracture. The aim was to research to get the information that can be used in the de-velopment of hip fracture, the patient's treatment path and patient-centered care.
The thesis is a part of the HAMK University of Applied Sciences project of welfare supply chains. Our study is a qualitative study. The data was collected using theme interviews and the responses were analyzed by using deductive and inductive content analysis. The study involved four hip fracture patients who were getting further treatment in the Hospital surgi-cal ward.
According to the results of the Bachelor's thesis, at the early stage of the hip fracture patient's treatment path, the patients were forced to move through a range of care facilities prior to the actual surgery. Their pathways differed from the fair treatment recommendation. However, the patients were satisfied with the treatment of nurses and quality of care. Pain assessment was partly defective, and the interviewees received pain medi-cation before rehabilitation. A rehabilitation plan was not drawn up, but the nurses applied nursing that promotes rehabilitation. Discharge instruc-tions were incomplete. The interviewees were yearning for written dis-charge instructions to support verbal instructions.
Development targets on the basis of this material will increase the patient's path to the clarity and speed of the various organizations, rehabilitation-term pain management, as well as the development of written patient guidelines for hip fracture patients.
