Lastensuojelun moniammatillisen seudullisen tukiryhmän hyödyt ja kehittämismahdollisuudet

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena oli tutkia uudenlaista seudullista lastensuojelun moniammatillista tukiryhmää sekä erityisesti sen kehittämismahdollisuuksia ja konkreettista hyötyä asiakkaille sekä asiantuntijajäsenille. Tutkimuksen kohteina oli ainoat kaksi Satakunnan alueella toimivaa tukiryhmää: Rauman seudun tukiryhmä sekä Porin seudun ja Pohjois-Satakunnan tukiryhmä. Tutkimusongelmina tässä opinnäytetyössä olivat 1) asiantuntijajäsenien toiveiden kartoittaminen moniammatillisuuden ja seudullisuuden kehittämisestä tukiryhmässä ja 2) tukiryhmän käytännön hyödyn selvittäminen. Tutkimus suoritettiin kyselynä vuoden 2007 aikana. Kysely lähetettiin kaikille kyseisten tukiryhmien varsinaisille jäsenille sekä kuudelle tukiryhmiin asiakasasioita tuoneelle lastensuojelun sosiaalityöntekijöille. Opinnäytteen teoreettisessa osassa käsiteltiin moniammatillisuutta, seudullisuutta, ryhmää ja sen kommunikaatiota, lastensuojelua sekä lastensuojelulakia. Teoriaosuuden pohjana käytettiin alan ammattikirjallisuutta sekä lakitekstejä. Tutkimuksen empiirisessä osassa käytiin kyselyjen vastaukset läpi sekä pohtien että kirjallisuuteen viitaten. Siinä myös vastattiin tutkimuksen otsikkoon, eli käytiin läpi vastauksissa ilmi tulleita tukiryhmän hyötyjä ja kehittämistoiveita.Tulokseksi tutkimuksessa saatiin paljon hyviä kehittämisideoita sekä tietoa ryhmän todellisesta hyödystä. Kävi ilmi, että tukiryhmä ei ole hyödyksi vain lastensuojelun sosiaalityöntekijälle ja hänen kauttaan asiakkaalle, vaan myös asiantuntijajäsenille itselleen. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena olikin kerätä kaikki tämä tieto yhteen ja tehdä tukiryhmän kehittämisestä ja eteenpäin viemisestä siten helpompaa. En voi vaikuttaa siihen, miten tutkimustani käytetään hyväksi, tai mitä siitä seuraa. Toivon kuitenkin, että Satakunnan lastensuojelun kehittämisyksikkö pystyisi käyttämään tutkimustani hyväkseen kehittäessään tukiryhmän työskentelyä. Toivon myös, että tutkimukseni vakuuttaa mahdolliset epäilijät tukiryhmän tärkeydestä.

The topic of this dissertation was to study the new regional multiprofessional child welfare support group and its development possibilities as well as its concrete use for the customers and professional members. Subjects of the study were the only two support groups working in the Satakunta area; The support group of the Rauma region and the Support group of Pori and Northern-Satakunta. The research questions in this dissertation were 1) to map out the expectations of the professional members concerning the development in the multiprofessionality and regionality and 2) to clarify the practical use of the support group. This research was performed as a survey during the year 2007. Questionaire was sent to the very members of the support groups in question and to the six social workers who brought cases of clients to the support group. Multiprofessionality, regionality, the support group, its communication, child welfare and the law concerning child welfare were handled in the theoretical part of the dissertation. The professional literature and law texts were used as the basis of the theoretical part. In the empiric part the results were elaborated using personal opinions and references to the literature. In this part the title of the dissertation was given an explanation. The practical use and the development expectations that were discovered during the research were also explained. As a result the dissertation arouse a lot of good development ideas and information concerning the real use of the support group. It turned out that the group isn’t only a good a asset to the child welfare workers and their customers but also to the professional members themselves. The goal of the research was to bind all this information together to make the development and the advancement of the group easier. I cannot affect on how they will use the results of my research or what will become of it. My hope is that Lastensuojelun kehittämisyksikkö of Satakunta could find a use for my research when they develop the work of the support group. I also hope that my research will assure the sceptics of the importance of the support group.
