Haavanhoitokansio Isojoen terveyskeskuksen vuodeosasto Koivukartanon ja asumispalveluyksikkö Koivukodin hoitohenkilökunnalle

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tehdä Isojoen terveyskeskuksen vuodeosasto Koivukartanon ja asumispalveluyksikkö Koivukodin hoitohenkilökunnalle haavanhoitokansio. Haavanhoitokansion tavoitteena on yhtenäistää hoitohenkilökunnan haavanhoitokäytäntöjä. Haavanhoitokansioon hoitohenkilökunta voi tulevaisuudessa lisätä käytännön ohjeita ja uusimpia tietoja, ja siten ylläpitää kaikkien haavanhoitoon osallistuvien haavanhoitotietoja. Opinnäytetyön teoreettinen osuus koostuu kirjallisuudesta saadusta tiedosta. Haavanhoitokansion sisältö pohjautuu tähän teoriatietoon ja haavanhoitokansion sisältämät tiedot on valittu hoitohenkilökunnalle toteutetussa kyselyssä saatujen vastausten perusteella. Hoitohenkilökunta vastasi haavanhoitoa koskevaan kyselyyn, jossa kysyttiin millaista tietoa he haluaisivat haavanhoitokansioon. Kysely toteutettiin keväällä 2007. Kyselyn avulla selvitettiin, mitä tietoa hoitohenkilökunta tarvitsee haavanhoitokansioon. Kyselyn vastausprosentti oli 73 % (n=16). Kyselyn vastausten perusteella eniten tietoa kaivattiin leikkaushaavan suihkutuksesta ja sidosmateriaalin valinnasta, painehaavan ennaltaehkäisyn keinoista ja haavanhoidosta ja säärihaavojen eroista ja haavan syntyyn vaikuttavista tekijöistä. Haavanhoitomenetelmistä eniten tietoa haluttiin mekaanisesta haavan puhdistuksesta ja haavanhoitotuotteiden oikeanlaisesta käytöstä. Haavanhoitokansio sisältää tiedot leikkaushaavan, painehaavan ja säärihaavan hoitosuosituksista ja hoitomenetelmistä, sekä ohjeet bakteerinäytteen ottamisesta. Lisäksi haavanhoitokansiossa esitellään ne haavanhoitotuotteet, joita on haavanhoito-ohjeissa suositeltu käyttämään. Opinnäytetyön tekemisen lähtökohtana oli Isojoen terveyskeskuksen hoitohenkilökunnan tarve saada haavanhoitokansio käyttöönsä, ja siten edistää yhtenäisiä haavanhoitokäytäntöjä. Opinnäytetyön tuotos on 30 -sivuinen haavanhoitokansio, joka tulee hoitohenkilökunnan käyttöön syksyllä 2007.

The intention of this thesis was to make a wound treatment file for the use of the personnel of the Koivukartano bed ward in the Isojoki Health Clinic and Koivukoti accommodation service unit. The intention of the file is to standardize the wound treatment procedures used by the personnel. The wound treatment file is to become one of the tools of wound treatment practise. The objective was to make a wound treatment file that could be augmented with practical details and latest information by the staff in the future, thus maintaining the wound treatment knowledge of all persons participating in the nursing. The theoretic part of the thesis consists of data collected from literature. The contents of the wound treatment file are based on this theoretic knowledge and the contents of the file have been chosen based on the results of an enquiry made out to the nursing staff. The nursing personnel were asked to fill out an enquiry asking what kind of information they would like to see in a wound treatment file. The enquiry was made in the spring of 2007. The purpose of the enquiry was to find out what information the staff requires in the file. The responding quota was 73 % (n=16). Judging from the results, irrigation of the wound, the choice of gauze, the methods of pressure ulcer prevention and treatment, the differences between kinds of varicose ulcers and the factors affecting wound formation were the most sought after topics. The most wanted information on wound treatment procedures were manual wound decontamination and the wound treatment products’ correct methods of use. The wound treatment file contains guidelines and manuals for the treatment of surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and varicose ulcers, and a manual on bacterial sample taking. The file also presents those wound treatment products that were recommended for use in the wound treatment manuals. The starting premiss of the thesis was to answer the Isojoki Health Clinic’s nursing staff’s need of a wound treatment file, and to promote the standardized wound treatment practises. The outcome of the thesis is a 30-page wound treatment file, which is pressed into the nursing staff’s service in the autumn of 2007.
