Tiivistelmä
The idea of our thesis is to design an application that will help busy people to eat more healthily and save their valuable time.
We decided to use the Lean startup approach. We wanted to test how a Lean startup approach helps to carry the idea from its inception to the prototype. During the idea validation, we were interviewing people from our focus group. Interviews helped us to shape our idea into a prototype.
We documented our journey and divided it into three iterations. First, we made an assumption on the information that we got from various sources including interviews, the internet, books and papers. Then we tested the idea by showing it to potential users of the application that were from the focus group that we defined.
As a result, our idea had several drastic changes, we started from the idea of making a healthy recipes application that had an all-in-one list of features (weekly meal plan, groceries delivery, dietitian consultations, shopping list generation) and in the end, we narrowed it down and found the niche as a special medical diet application.
