Graduation Thesis analyses solutions for the improvement of Company X productivity at Freight Forwarding Department. Due to non-disclosure agreement the title and identities of research participants of the Company are not revealed in the Graduation Thesis. Company X provides more than ten different logistics services starting from warehousing and distribution to sea, air, road freight forwarding and customs clearance. And all of that is done by more than 300 professionals working int two Lithuanian offices in Vilnius and Kaunas, as well as in Latvian office in Riga and Estonian office in Tallinn.
The theoretical part of the Graduation Thesis discusses the concept and measurement of productivity, determinants of productivity and concept of Big Data. The research part of the Graduation Thesis focuses on analysis of Company X activities and financial indicators, freight forwarding processes, qualitative research justification and analysis of research results. The project part of the Graduation Thesis explains opportunities of Big Data performance evaluation system at the Company X to improve its’ productivity. While explaining its benefit by provision of financial costs and forecast of return on investment.
