Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää tietoa perheheräämötoiminnasta hoitohenkilökunnan näkökulmasta. Tavoitteena oli tuottaa luotettavaa tietoa Kaakkois-Suomen ammattikorkeakoulun käyttöön sekä lisätä sairaanhoitajaopiskelijoiden tietoa perheheräämötoiminnasta.
Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin kuvailevana kirjallisuuskatsauksena, johon valittiin 11 tutkimusta. Tutkimukset analysoitiin deduktiivisen eli teorialähtöisen sisällönanalyysin keinoin teemoittelun avulla. Teemoittelussa pääteemoiksi nousivat hoitohenkilökunnan kokemukset perheheräämötoiminnasta, perheheräämötoiminnan tuomat edut hoitohenkilökunnalle ja perheheräämötoiminnan tuomat haasteet hoitohenkilökunnalle.
Tuloksista ilmeni, että hoitohenkilökunnalla oli negatiivisia kokemuksia muiden potilaiden yksityisyydestä, turvallisuudesta sekä omasta osaamisesta. Perheheräämötoiminta toi etuja hoitohenkilökunnalle, kuten parantunutta henkilöstön tyytyväisyyttä ja parantuneita välejä hoitohenkilökunnan ja perheiden välillä. Vanhempien läsnäololla oli positiivisia vaikutuksia hoitohenkilökunnan työhön ja aikaan. Perheheräämötoiminnan tuomat haitat hoitohenkilökunnalle liittyivät heräämön tilojen ja yksityisyyden puutteellisuuteen, hoitohenkilökunnan riittämättömyyteen, koulutuksen puutteeseen ja väärinymmärryksiin perheenjäsenten ja hoitohenkilökunnan välillä.
Johtopäätöksinä voi todeta, että koulutusta lisäämällä ja yhteisten sovittujen sääntöjen avulla saadaan hoitokäytänteitä yhtenäistettyä, mikä parantaa hoitohenkilökunnan työsuoritusta. Jatkossa tulisi toteuttaa tutkimuksia siitä, miten perheheräämötoiminta toteutuu Suomen eri sairaanhoitopiireissä. Tutkimusten tekeminen eri sairaanhoitopiireissä ja niiden tarkastelu auttaa yhtenäistämään perheheräämötoiminnan käytäntöjä maanlaajuisesti sekä pienentämään alueellisia eroja toteutuksen kannalta. Kehitysideana ehdotettiin, että sairaanhoitajien peruskoulutuksessa tulisi kiinnittää huomiota perheheräämötoiminnan opetukseen.

The aim was to produce reliable information for the use of the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences and to increase the knowledge of nursing students about the family centered recovery room.
Our thesis was implemented as a descriptive literature review for which we selected 11 studies. The studies were analyzed with deductive content analysis using themes. In the analysis of the studies, the main themes were the experiences of nursing staff about the family centered recovery room, the benefits of family centered recovery room for nursing staff and the challenges of family centered recovery room for nursing staff.
The results showed that nursing staff had negative experiences about the privacy and safety of other patients and their own skills. The family centered recovery room brought benefits for nursing staff, such as improved staff contentment and improved relations between nursing staff and families. The presence of the parents had positive effects on the work and time of the nursing staff. The challenges of family centered recovery room for nursing staff were related to the lack of space in wake up room, to the lack of privacy, insufficiency of nursing staff, lack of education and misunderstandings between family members and nursing staff.
It was concluded that increased training and common agreed rules would lead to a harmonization of treatment practices, which improves the performance of nursing staff. In the future, research should be carried out how a family centered recovery room is implemented in different hospital districts in Finland. Doing research and reviewing it in different hospital districts will help to harmonize the family centered recovery room across the country and reduce regional disparities in implementation. As a development idea, it was suggested that in the nursing school, attention should be paid to to the teaching of the family centered recovery room.
