Opas traumapotilaan vanhemmille

Abstract

Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on tuottaa opas traumapotilaan vanhemmille. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on koota tietoa laajasti lasten ja nuorten neurologisista traumoista, niiden hoidosta ja kuntoutuksesta. Oppaan tavoitteena on tukea vanhempien ja koko perheen osallistamista trauman saaneen lapsen tai nuoren hoidossa ja kuntoutuksessa. Opinnäytetyö tehdään yhteistyössä Pirkanmaan sairaanhoitopiirin kanssa. Tiedonhaussa on käytetty lähtökohtaisesti Hämeen Ammattikorkeakoulun kirjaston sekä internetistä ja hakupalveluista kuten Finnasta, Google Scholarista sekä hoitotieteiden tietokanta Medicistä löydettyjä lähdemateriaaleja. Jokaiseen osioon on pyritty etsimään mahdollisimman uudet lähteet, jotta tieto olisi uutta ja pysynyt mukana kehityksessä. Teoreettinen osuus käsittelee työn näkökulmasta tärkeimmät aiheet. Opinnäytetyön toiminnallisessa osuudessa toteutettiin opas, joka meni tulostettavaksi yhteistyökumppanillemme. Oppaassa on otettu huomioon kohderyhmä ja näin ollen ammattisanoja ei juurikaan käytetty. Oppaassa käytetyt ammattisanat on avattu lukijalle selkeästi. Palautetta on saatu prosessin aikana ja sen pohjalta on tehty tarvittavia muutoksia. Palautetta ovat antaneet yhteistyötaho, ohjaava opettaja sekä opiskelukollegat. Oppaan pääsisällöt ovat omahoitajuus ja aivovammoista kuntoutuminen sekä perheen tuki lapsen kuntoutuksessa.

The purpose of this functional thesis is to produce a guide for the parents of a trauma patient. The aim of this thesis is to gather extensive information on neurological traumas in children and adolescents, their treatment and rehabilitation. The aim of the guide is to support the involvement of parents and the whole family in the care and rehabilitation of a child who has a neurological trauma. The thesis is carried out in cooperation with the Pirkanmaa Hospital District. The Häme University of Applied Sciences library and internet search services such as Finna, Google Scholar and the medical sciences database Medic have been used in the search for information. As new sources as possible have been selected as the sources, so that the information is new and kept up with the development. The theoretical part shows the most important topics related to the subject. A guide was made in the functional part of the thesis. Our partner can print out the guide at the ward to give to parents. The guide takes into account the target group and therefore jargons were hardly used. The professional words in the guide have been clearly explained to the reader. Feedback has been received during the process and the necessary changes have been made based on it. Feedback has been given by our partner, a guiding teacher and student colleagues. The main elements of the guide are the family’s signed nurse and rehabilitation of the trauma patient, and how the family can support the child´s rehabilitation.
