Virikehäkkikanalan muuttaminen kerroslattiakanalaksi

Abstract

Suomessa on neljä eri kanalatyyppiä, joista huomattavasti suurimpia ovat lattia- ja virikehäkkituotantomuodot. Nykyään lähes kaikki uudet lattiakanalat ovat kerroslattiakanaloita, koska näin saadaan enemmän kanoja halliin. Kananmunantuotanto on Suomessa suuressa murroksessa, sillä merkittävimmät kauppaketjut ovat päättäneet lopettaa virikehäkkimunien myynnin vuoteen 2025-2026 mennessä, vaikka yli puolet Suomen kananmunantuotannosta tulee virikehäkkikanaloista. Tämä tarkoittaa suuria investointeja tiloilla. Kalle Hollo Oy:n tilalla on kanala, jossa on virikehäkkilaitteisto ja nämä on syytä vaihtaa, kun kanoja halutaan vielä pitää. Laitteisto on päätetty vaihtaa kerroslattialaitteistoon. Kerroslattialaitteistoja on monenlaisia, mutta ensimmäisen seulonnan jälkeen tuli valituksi kolme mahdollisiksi laitteiksi, joista yksi valittiin. Tärkeimmät kriteerit laitteiston valinnassa oli kanamäärä, hinta ja jälkimarkkinointi. Laitteet saatiin asennettua onnistuneesti ja jopa yllättävän nopeasti. Laitteistojen asentamisessa oli tehtaan omat asentajat, joilta asennus sujui. Laitteisiin ollaan tyytyväisiä, eikä suurempia ongelmia ole vielä ollut.

There are four different types of henhouses in Finland, the largest of which are the floor and enrichment cage production methods. Today, almost all new floor hens are multi-tier aviary because this will get more chickens into the hen house. Egg production is undergoing a major transformation in Finland, as the major retail chains have decided to stop selling enrichment cage eggs by 2025-2026, even though more than half of Finland's egg production comes from enrichment caged hens. This means large investments in farms. Kalle Hollo Oy has a henhouse with enrichment cage equipment and these should be replaced while the farm intends to continue egg production. It has been decided to replace the equipment with multi-tier aviary equipment. There are many types of multi-tier aviary equipment, but after the first screening, three possible devices were shortlisted, one of which was selected. The main criteria for choosing the equipment were the number of chickens, the price and after-sales. The devices were successfully installed and even surprisingly quickly. The installation of the equipment had the factory's own installers, from whom the installation went smoothly. Users have been satisfied with the equipment and there have not yet been any major problems.
