Driven by the global COVID-19 epidemic, an increasing number of people choose online shopping to reduce unnecessary physical contact. The traditional takeaway applications are too simple and lack interaction between sellers and customers, which currently consists of customers just ordering what they want from the online shop. We need to invent a new way of shopping online to change this interaction. Besides it can also alleviate the contradiction between promoting consumption and reducing waste to a certain extent.
This thesis aims to establish a design concept of a blind box for a new shopping platform starting from discussing the historical background of the blind box, using the feasibility analysis method, and studying the users’ needs. The software process design and database design were implemented according to different needs.
Through feasibility analysis, requirements analysis, and process flow analysis, the result is that developing the Blind Box application is feasible, letting the overall design of the application meet the needs of users. On the other hand, this thesis makes the developers who will develop similar software in the future have a clearer understanding, so as to continuously improve the program to achieve a complete from.
