Freight Forwarders are organizations that offer transportation and logistics services, providing guidance to Mexican producers and foreign traders to export and import goods. As freight forwarders, is vital to find the correct clients and agents for performance international operations, however, is important to identify how freight forwarders can become parties that incentives exportation diversification to foreign countries through the creation and implementation of strategies, specifically focused on Mexican agricultural citrus products.
Mexican exportations are mainly destinated to the United States of America, generating profit and jobs for Mexican producers, however, the bilateral dependence between both countries has allowed sharing benefits, but also difficulties, so the importance to diversify exportations to different countries might become fundamental for the Mexican economy, without decreasing or affecting the economic-political relationship, third parties as Freight Forwarders could implement the correct strategy to help Mexican producers to diversify exportations.
Through theoretical investigation, it has been identified the analyzed elements to determine a correct strategy for freight forwarders to implement, also through interviews applied to a freight forwarder and to a Mexican citrus producer interested in starting the exportation process, also explaining the challenges Mexican producers affront inside Mexico. Freight Forwarders are capable to incentivize Mexican citrus harvesters considering local opportunity areas, global conflicts, health care crises, transportation challenges, and lack of guidance to local producers interested in implementing exportation, creating a great opportunity for Freight Forwarders to prospect new potential customers.
