Purpose of this thesis is to examine Helsinki coworking market and how the Covid-19 pandemic has affect to it. The aim objective is to find how the market has changed over these couple of years and how the future of coworking market looks like. This thesis is commissioned by Wonderland Work.
The theorethical part supports the research objective and gives good understanding of the topics discussed in this thesis. The first two parts of the theory explains the Covid-19 pandemic and how it has affected people’s work. The other parts explain the current office market in Helsinki as well as opens up a consept of coworking and tells about coworking in Helsinki.
The qualitative method is used as a research method in this thesis. Interviews with professionals in the field of coworking have been used to obtain information. There were four interviewes in total and every interview was held online.
The results made it clear that professionals in the field have a positive image and expectations for the future of coworking. In Helsinki there is high competition in the market but still there is a increasing demand for the coworking facilities. One key finding is that the remote working that began during the pandemic is here to to stay.
