Tiivistelmä
The small enterprise of Kuutin Kolo is run by a retired couple, whom make an additional
income by providing trekking and lakeside services. Due to the ageing of the
management, services have been dropped from the palette, and a desire to find a successor
to take over the enterprise has emerged.
In the frame of Entrepreneurship studies, a Business Development Plan was conducted
to assist the acquisition process of the Enterprise. This included Targer Audience
analysis, marketing concept assistance, possible development and investment initiatives,
which suit the business profile of Kuutin Kolo.
The gathering, preparation and research phase for the Business Development Plan was
done in summer and autumn of 2012. The finalised Plan was provided to the Enterprise
on 22.10.2012. A follow up on the utilisation of the provided product was established
on 7.5.2013, just after the following business season had begun.
This thesis gathers, introduces the research methods applied to carry out the Business
Plan. It describes common research methods and how these were utilised. Describing
evaluational methods solely constructed for the purpose of the Plan, and how these
were implemented. Final chapter describes the execution of the Plan evaluation and
further considerable steps for the Concern.
