With the continuous development of education reform, the education department is
gradually committed to the comprehensive cultivation of students' moral, intellectual,
physical, aesthetic and labor. As one of the physical education courses, taekwondo has
gradually been valued and introduced by some schools.
However, although some schools have introduced taekwondo courses, there are
some problems of fewcourses, insufficient equipment and low students 'interest, which
bring adverse effects on the promotion of taekwondo and the cultivation of students'
physical quality.
Based on this, the paper mainly explores the current situation of taekwondo sports
in middle schools in Guangzhou, through the literature data method and surveys survey
method, based on the detailed analysis of the current situation of middle school
taekwondo courses at home and abroad, and conducted a questionnaire survey of 220
students from 11 middle schools in Guangzhou. After research and investigation, it was
found that Guangzhou middle school physical education into taekwondo courses, has
made certain progress, but there are still less overall taekwondo courses, students have
insufficient cognition of taekwondo, taekwondo equipment cannot meet the demand of
curriculum, taekwondo techniques training is simple and students lack of interest in
taekwondo, the effective development of taekwondo course has brought adverse
effects. Finally, based on the actual problem, countermeasures are proposed for the
introduction of taekwondo into school physical education. It is hoped that the analysis of
this paper can provide reference for the development of physical education and
taekwondo course and the improvement of students' physical literacy.
